Mum had a trip to Turkey weeks ago and brought back a few small boxes of this honeycomb. She wasn’t aware that Turkey produces the best honey of the world until she tried the honeycomb at the buffet breakfast in the hotel she stayed. Then she was crazily in love with it.

I wasn’t a fan of honey though I always kept a small jar home in case I needed it for cooking or for sweetening sometimes. Mum strongly recommended me to have a try and insisted to give me some when I left home. So I had a surprisingly tasty breakfast today.

Unlike dinner, breakfast for me can be as simple as coffee and bread, with or without spread, 365 days a year. I was amazed by its delicate aroma the first bite I had. It wasn’t very sweet that I could even have it like a sweet, without spreading on toast. It’s even better with a cup of good black coffee.

Mentioning coffee, I had cold brew and milk brew that I made last night. Me and my family don’t like coffee with too much acidity so cold brew is our preference in warm days. With a far gentler infusion process, cold brewed coffee produces lower acidity then standard coffee. I received these coffee bags recently. It has become very trendy to have cold brew or milk brew in this way –you soak the coffee bag in cold water or milk in a jar and let it sit in fridge overnight, 10 to 12 hours, without too much cleaning and what you do is to wait. There’s no necessary to purchase the expensive cold brew coffee maker.
